What We Believe

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God and is our source for instruction in all matters of life. (2 Timothy 3:16)

  • We believe in the triune God: God the Father; God the Son; and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19)

  • We believe that Jesus was eternally existent, yet took upon the flesh and entered this world as a human. Born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. He died on the cross and was placed in a borrowed tomb, but three days later he rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven where he sits at the right hand of God the Father and intercedes for us. (Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 7:26; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Luke 24:39; Acts 1:9)

  • We believe the death of Jesus on the cross paid the penalty for the sins of humanity. And any individual who believes on Jesus, their sins are forever forgiven. There is no other person and no other way for sins to be forgiven and the door to heaven opened, than through Jesus. (John 14:6; 2 Corinthians 5:21)

  • We believe the Holy Spirit is present in this world today. He convicts of sin; He comforts; He strengthens. The fullness of the Spirit, including his gifts are for each and every believer today. (1 Corinthians 1:7; Acts 1:4-8; 2:39; 1 Corinthians 12; 14)

  • We encourage every believer to be baptized in water and to participate in Holy Communion. Every believer should have a church home in which they actively participate, worship and serve. (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:26)

  • We believe that Jesus is coming back to set up an eternal kingdom in which he alone reigns, and the government will be upon his shoulders. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:51-51)

  • We believe in a literal heaven and hell. (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 19:20; 20:11-15; 21:8)
